Join Rabbi Lee, Harriet Feiner, and Deborah Waxman, president of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and others in celebrating the life of Rabbi Ira Eisenstein.  Dr. Eisenstein was the founder of our Movement's major institutions including our rabbinical college.  Our congregation was fortunate in having Ira as its rabbi at the time of the College's founding.  Indeed, members of our congregation were instrumental in supporting Ira in his endeavors to establish a college to train rabbis for the Jewish future.  Rabbi Lee was an early graduate of the college and was mentored by Ira.  Harriet studied with Ira as a teenager at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism and sustained a sixty-year-long friendship with him. Both Harriet and Rabbi Lee will talk personally about Ira as a teacher and friend. Dr. Waxman will speak about Dr. Eisenstein's legacy to American Judaism.
