Project Independence is a program of the Town of North Hempstead Department of Services for the Aging that assists and enables aging residents of the Town to remain in their own homes and familiar surroundings, as they grow older. Services are without charge and include information and referral, health related, social and recreational services, caregiver support, and transportation.
