What Makes Us Human?

with Rabbi Lee

Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00PM

William Shakespeare remarked, "What a piece of work is man." For Rabbi Lee's monthly evening seminar, he will consider what makes human beings unique in our Jewish tradition. Beginning with classical writings -- biblical, Talmudic and medieval -- he will move on to modern Jewish existentialist philosophers -- Abraham Joshua Heschel, Martin Buber and Mordecai Kaplan. One need not attend every session to benefit from the course.

Dates: 10/23, 11/20, 12/11, 1/15, 2/12, 3/12, 4/9, 5/21
