Tikkun Leil Election

At moments of great importance, Jews know what to do. We gather together.

Whatever happens this Tuesday, there's no reason to face it alone.

Join T'ruah and over 30 other Jewish organizations (including Reconstructing Judaism) for a Tikkun Leil Election on Tuesday, 11/3 8-11pm ET.

Hundreds of Jews around the country will be coming together and creating a space for musical performances, meditation moments, poetry readings, short Torah study opportunities, and the occasional breaking news update.

Modeled on the Tikkun Leil Shavuot, where we stay up all night studying Torah on Shavuot, this event will offer community, inspiration, and spiritual nourishment. We likely won't have clear election results on the night of November 3, but we can support each other as we begin to see the emerging picture.

Our line-up for the evening includes:

  • Torah study with Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg, Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie, Becky Jaye, and Laynie Soloman
  • Music from Laura Townsend, Arielle Korman, Amy Tobin, Rabbi Angela Warnick Buchdahl, and Joey Weisenberg
  • Comfort food with Mollie Katzen, author of The Moosewood Cookbook, and Michael Twitty of Kosher Soul fame
  • Art-making with Rabbi Adina Allen
  • Poetry readings by Joy Ladin
  • Meditation with Rabbi Myriam Klotz
  • A theatrical monologue and writing activity by one of Moving Traditions' Kol Koleinu Teen Feminist Fellows
